This weekend’s Formula 1 Grand Prix in Azerbaijan (not “Aber-baijan”) was nothing short of marvellous. My love for the sport is founded in its unpredictability, orchestrated by Weather’s reminder of our small humanity. Yes, the top teams tower in resource capacity above others to maintain their positions. But I love the sport because of the ways drivers must embody being David and Goliath, in laps of stamina.

Carlos Sainz’s podium finish this weekend reminded me of persistent and consistent discipline.

Practically Speaking, Updates

THANK Y’ALL SO MUCH! Your responses this week have generated 4 new legal referrals. I’ve reached out for consultations and remain prepared to partner with my legal advocate for Freedom as soon as possible.

Last week’s legal referrals yielded 1 remaining lawyer who will be in touch this week. Though the legal referrals of last week were unable to accommodate me, they offered helpful insights and feedback to guide me closer to competent support.

October 16th remains my upcoming Chambers date with opposing counsel, but I have been in touch with the Resource Centre through Calgary Courts to access assistance for those self-represented; I hope to secure a deferral this week to allow time for new counsel to get on board.

If you are currently self-represented and struggling to find help, I hope the Canadian Judicial Council’s Resource Centre is a productive resource.
