On taking time offline to strategize for the biggest pivot toward Freedom.

Practically Speaking, 2025’s Final Update.
I’m so grateful to report that this latest pivot to be more visible has produced numerous referrals. From family, to criminal, to civil lawyers - I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to have such an extensive list of folks to get in touch with.
My highest priority before the year ends is to gain clarity with the Courts on the status of this adjournment so that I can pivot strategically. I will be at the Courts Centre this week to make sure that any unfortunate technicalities do not hinder my efforts while I’ve been self-represented.
The second priority: securing counsel once I gain clarity with the Courts.
With a grateful and believing heart, I spend these final weeks of 2025 in generative reflection, strategic planning, and fastidious preparation (my favourite advice from Emily Maitlis!) for 2026 to be the year I finally secure my Freedom.
It has been the honour of my life to bring you along this journey as I finally stand up to my abusers and bullies - 23 years in the making!
With absolute clarity:
- I do not accept being abused, exploited, manipulated, or coerced by anyone.
- I do not accept a 16:1 wealth disparity in favour of my abuser.
- I do not accept being responsible for forced insolvency, or its economic consequences, for the next 5-7 years.
- I do not accept responsibility for my abuser’s actions to cause my vehicle’s repossession, nor the consequences of having the 2nd worst credit rating as a result.
- I do not accept the consequences of my previous counsel and law enforcement’s ignorance of my numerous warnings, which could have prevented this destruction and ongoing abuse.
I’m grateful to share my experience with abuse in real time, revealing the discrepancies and disparities of protection in our city, the ignorance that privilege affords many in my community, and the unfortunate consequences of leaders perpetuating this abuse with their silence. Whatever the outcome, I’m forever proud of this chapter in my history; I took my life into my own hands, as well as my Freedom.
Practically Speaking, Time Offline.
I’ll be pausing my online efforts to better manage my time and energy.
My body needs serious attention, and being online is the thing that’s got to give in the interim, so 2026 is sustained by purpose, not pressure. In the meantime, I’ll continue to be outside with postcards and would love it if you said hi when you’re out!
