Practically Speaking, In the Light of Eternity.
In the Light of Eternity, quitting on Freedom is not an option.
Practically Speaking, In the Light of Eternity
Being in court reveals sharp things: the privilege of vengeance, the luxury for some to be angry.
Being in court is a sobering reminder that if I don’t fight for my Freedom now, I sign a lifetime lease in hell’s valley because I was too afraid to stand up to abuse. There is a particular humiliation in having to plead not to bear the penalties of another person’s actions; dignity thins in these rooms.
I’m hungry and I’m tired. I would not wish this hell on anyone.
The urge to quit has been heavy against the timeline of November 24th to secure legal counsel, but there’s one question that comes up when things are dark:
“In the Light of Eternity, how does this moment or response relate?” - Stephen Colbert
In the Light of Eternity, I’m reminded of my Gogo Mary, who walked from Mozambique to Zimbabwe as a little girl. If that is in me, Freedom is worth fighting for beyond me.
